CPR Refresher Course Information
The CPR Refresher Course provides essential training in life-saving techniques. This program focuses on recognising symptoms of an unconscious not breathing individual and the necessary steps to assist them. Participants will learn practical approaches to handle emergencies, including the use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED), adult CPR, infant CPR and the recovery position. The CPR Refresher Course offers a comprehensive learning experience for all participants by blending face-to-face practical classes with a convenient online pre-class component, to ensure a comprehensive and flexible learning experience. With classes available every day, we cater to the busy schedules of our participants, making it easier for everyone to acquire life-saving skills. Moreover, our course is affordably priced, ensuring that everyone has access to this essential training. The best part? There are no prerequisites to join, and once completed, your certification is valid for 12 months. QUALIFICATION
Pre-requisites
There are no pre-requisites for the CPR course. Participants are however required to have a minimum level of Literacy and Numeracy to be allowed admittance to this course.
Please notify us if you have any medical conditions or special needs that may prevent you completing all practical assessments. This includes performing CPR on the floor on a manikin. It is a requirement that CPR be performed for at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer CPR on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
This unit of competency has no prerequisites required for enrolment and is suitable for those with no prior skills or knowledge in first aid or CPR.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This course requires that you are physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 minutes on a CPR manikin placed on the floor.
ONLINE REQUIREMENTS
All participants are required to complete online pre-course learning before attending the practical session. To do so, you will need a desktop or mobile device with internet access.
All format options for this course incorporate pre-course online learning, including:
• EXPRESS PRACTICAL FORMAT – Comprehensive video-based online learning and theory assessment prior to attendance.
• FACE-TO-FACE FORMAT – Short online learning to cover basics prior to attendance.
Once booked, you will receive an email with details of your chosen assessment location and time. Simply complete the video-based online training on your chosen device at your convenience.
Remember:
1. Your online learning must be completed before attending your practical assessment.
2. All modules will become green when this is finished.
3. To ensure you are fully prepared and confident for the practical assessment, we recommend rewatching the assessable topics carefully just prior to attending.
CERTIFICATE RENEWALS

*A digital copy will be available to download from your learner dashboard, usually within 24 hours.
This is dependent on participants completing their online training successfully. If not, the certificate will be delayed until they have done so. Fridays and Weekends will also affect the speed in which a certificate may come.
If a hard copy of the certificate is required, this must be requested in advance. An additional $5 fee applies for this. Please note hard copies can take up to 30 business days to arrive (based on Australia post). It is recommended that this unit be renewed every 3 years in line with industry standards.
Current industry standards recommend the following recertification frequency to maintain currency of skills and knowledge:
• HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – every 12 months
ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES
